The minor in human resource management focuses on the management of the human resources of an organization. Option 1 engages students in human resource information systems and their strategic implications on the firm. Option 2 offers a more holistic approach to HRM by allowing students to gain knowledge and skills across many HRM areas, including recruiting, hiring and promotion, competitive compensation and benefits, training and development, or employee performance appraisals, and ensuring that an organization abides by legal regulations concerning employment practices.
