Master of Music with Concentration in Composition

Admission Requirements 

  1. A Bachelor of Music degree or its equivalent. 
  2. Interview with Music Composition faculty and submission of three scores and recordings of original compositions.
  3. Completed aplication to the UTEP Graduate School https://www.utep.edu/graduate/apply-now/apply-now.html which includes official undergraduate transcript, two letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
  4. Applicants whose degrees are from non-English speaking institutions are required to demonstrate English proficiency. Please consult the Graduate School website for required scores.
