Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Administration
The Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management is a 18-semester-hour certificate based in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. This certificate is designed to provide practical training to nonprofit leaders whose first interests are core fundamentals of management and leadership in the nonprofit sector. The graduate certificate is ideal for professionals with bachelor’s or master’s degrees who wish to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in the area of nonprofit management, program evaluation, governance, policy and other related issues applicable to the nonprofit sector. Credits earned may be applied towards the MPA.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management will be based on the applicant’s undergraduate and/or graduate record. Students who enroll in the Graduate Certificate and decide at a later date to pursue a master’s degree may apply to the appropriate graduate program and request the units be incorporated into their degree program at the time of admission. Admissions requirements for the Graduate Certificate include the following:
- Completion and submission of a graduate admissions application
- Submission of official transcripts in accordance with the requirements of the Graduate School
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum undergraduate
- GPA of 2.5 is required for admission to the Graduate Certificate.
