Minor in Public Health
The minor in public health consists of 18 credit hours addressing foundational knowledge on the pillars of public health (community health, epidemiology, environmental health, public health administration). The educational objective is to provide foundational knowledge on public health that could be offered to undergraduate students enrolled in different majors across the university.
Public Health minors who are considering the Master of Public Health degree are advised to take HSCI 3308 as their minor elective course, as this course is a pre-requisite for UTEP’s MPH program.
