EDT 4300.  Educational Technology.  

Educational Technology: This course covers the fundamentals of educational technologies that support teaching and learning, including: technology, historical development, learning theories, social impacts, and ethical implications. It focuses on building proficiency in the application of technologies that improve communication and collaboration within schools. Students will examine and evaluate educational technologies in relation to national and state standards, with an emphasis on integrating technology into teaching to promote children's digital literacy and learning across academic content areas.

EDT 4374.  Teach in Tech-Rich Classroom.  

This course examines the integration of curriculum development and instructional technology, particularly in the STEM and literacy education areas. It develops teacher knowledge and skill in using multimedia authoring programs; use of video editing, sound editing, and image editing; and use of online Web 2.0 resources. This course focuses on assistive technology tools for PreK-12 students, as well as techniques for educators, both in school-based and community-based classrooms. Emphasis is placed on legal issues regarding technology access and equity.
