Jewish Studies
Jewish Studies at UTEP offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Jewish religion, history, culture, literature and lived experience. Students engage primary and secondary sources to study Judaism through Jewish literature, art, and culture. Students cover a range of modern and ancient topics (the history of ancient Jewish literature and material culture up to contemporary period) using historical, literary, and sociological methods. The curriculum centers on 3-credit, lecture-based upper-division courses. Jewish Studies courses are offered through the Global Humanities Program.
