Graduate Certificate in Smart Manufacturing
The purpose of this certificate program is to provide the students with hands-on training on current industry demands. To achieve this, industry relevant courses were updated to include Smart Manufacturing (SM) technologies and demonstration laboratories and facilities, in which the students can develop and learn industry desirable skills, have been developed. In this certificate program, students will learn about SM technologies currently implemented in Industry such as virtual factory simulations, digital twins, automation & robotics, data analytics, among other high demand skills, and will provide them with specific skills that companies are looking to fulfill. The proposed SM certificate program is intended to assist in regional economic development by achieving the following tasks:
- Development of SM research Lab
- Increasing number of SM trained engineers
- Increase Industry deployment
- Increase potential SM educated workforce, and Increase SM supply chain
