Welcome to the Center for Inter-American and Border Studies (CIBS). The Center is a focus for UTEP activities concerning Borders, Latin America, and the Caribbean. While an emphasis on our local region is interwoven through most UTEP activities, CIBS creates a central point of leadership and support for other units in academic programs, research, and outreach activities.
